Arguably Utah’s best annual home parade is already under a month away! The 2016 Utah Valley Parade of Homes runs June 2-18th 2016. Here’s a quick overview of of the details of this home parade and how to tour the gorgeous homes by some of Utah’s finest custom home builders and contractors.
The home parade is the opportunity to tour a number (usually between 25-40) of custom homes built by local homebuilders and contractors. For these builders and contractors it’s a chance to win awards (i.e. the People’s Choice Award) grow a reputation and brand as the very best and attract potential home buyers. For those that tour the homes it’s a chance to see firsthand the craftsmanship available to them and get an idea of what they do and don’t like in any given room of said homes. The Utah Valley Parade is extremely popular and put on each year by the Utah Valley Home Builders Association.
This year the website of the UV Parade seems a bit outdated but tickets can generally be purchased through the UV Parade website, the UVHBA office located in Orem and Osmond Design locations in Orem or Lehi. Tickets are $15 per person and grant entrance to all the homes that are part of the Parade during the roughly two week period. It should be noted that ages 5 and over need a ticket. Tours are self guided and often the homes have contractors and businesses on site to talk about their services. There is also typically a Parade magazine available at the homes for you to look at and keep notes as needed.
The UV Parade is also on Facebook and Twitter and sometimes does giveaways leading up to the parade. The UVHBA also has active social accounts here: UVHBA Facebook and UVHBA Twitter.
Enjoy the gorgeous homes this year and congrats in advance to this year’s participants and winners on the contractor/builder side!
